REBEAT News Roundup (January 11 – January 17)
Breaking news
A new constellation has been named in honor David Bowie, who passed away on January 10. Studio Brussels, a radio station in Belgium, contacted a local observatory about a special way to honor the musician. The station then registered a seven star pattern reminiscent of the lightning bolt pattern on Bowie’s face adorning the cover of 1973’s Aladdin Sane. Appropriately enough, the constellation is in the vicinity of Mars.
Stars within the new constellation can be dedicated for free on this website. Called Stardust for Bowie, the site allows users to dedicate a star with a favorite David Bowie song and a brief reflection.
