You may hear some of your favorite bands and artist during Super Bowl 50 — but not during halftime. Commercials for Skittles, Heinz, Audi, Hyundai, and more will showcase classic tracks from artists such as Aerosmith, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Queen, and ELO.

- For their 50th anniversary, the Monkees are releasing a new album, entitled Good Times, which is already available for pre-order on Amazon. An official release date has not yet been announced.
- Jeff Lynne’s ELO will play a trio of concerts from September 9-11 at the Hollywood Bowl in California.
- John Densmore and Robby Krieger of the Doors will reunite for the first time in 15 years to perform at “A Celebration for Ray Manzarek,” a concert from which all proceeds will benefit Stand Up to Cancer.
