Sir Paul McCartney was denied access to a Grammy afterparty thrown by rapper Tyga. McCartney, who was spending time with Beck and Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins, attempted to get into the party but was turned away at the door.
McCartney joked, “How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit, guys!” They then headed to a different party thrown by Republic Records.
Albums, singles, and tours
- Eric Clapton will release a new album, I Still Do, on May 20. The album will feature a posthumous appearance by George Harrison, who appears under the pseudonym Angelo Mysterioso.
- Mike Love will be penning a new autobiography telling his side of the Beach Boys’ history, which is due out in April.
- On the Grammys, the Eagles with Jackson Browne and Lady Gaga paid tribute to Glenn Frey and David Bowie, respectively.
