REBEAT News Roundup (March 14 – March 20)
Breaking news
Paul McCartney is attempting to regain the rights to his music with the Beatles more than 30 years after Michael Jackson purchased them in 1985. Sources say he has begun the necessary paperwork to reacquire the rights to the songs after Sony/ATV’s hold on them expires.
All of the rights will expire between 2018 and 2025; however, this will only give McCartney access to his music in the United States, and only to his half of the songs jointly attributed to Lennon/McCartney.
