1. The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine is being adapted into a comic book and will be released next year to commemorate the movie’s 50th anniversary.

 

2. A David Bowie boxset, which will encompass his work from 1977 through 1982, will hit shelves on September 29. It’s called A New Career in a New Town (1977-1982), the third in a series of David Bowie boxsets.

3. The Beatles: Eight Days a Week has received five Emmy award nominations.

 

4. The trailer for David Gilmour’s Live in Pompeii film has been released. Live in Pompeii will be shown in select theaters nationwide on September 13.

 

5. The Classic West festival took place this weekend. The Eagles, who headlined Saturday night, performed for the first time without Glenn Frey. Bob Seger and country artist Vince Gill performed with the band, as well as Glenn’s son, Deacon.
