Breaking news
Barry Gibb revisited his childhood home of Redcliffe, Australia on September 11 to open the second stage of Bee Gees Way, a commemorative walkway dedicated to Gibb and his brothers. Although originally from England, the Gibbs moved to Australia in 1958. The walk includes two bronze statues of the Bee Gees; one depicts them as children while the other as adults near the end of their career. The latter was unveiled at the ceremony on Friday.

Prudence Farrow Burns, who inspired the Beatles’ composition “Dear Prudence” while studying meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1968, sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone in which she discussed her new book, Dear Prudence: The Story Behind the Song. When asked about her thoughts of the song today, she said:
It epitomized what the Sixties were about in many ways. What it’s saying is very beautiful; it’s very positive. I think it’s an important song. I thought it was one their least popular and more obscure songs. I feel that it does capture that essence of the course, that slightly exotic part of being in India where we went through that silence and meditation.
