Here’s what you may have missed in the news last week!
Breaking news
Brian Wilson, along with his wife Melinda and the cast of Love & Mercy, are teaming up with mental health advocates Give an Hour in The Campaign to Change Direction, which focuses on helping people understand the signs of mental illnesses and changing society’s perspectives on mental health. Wilson will hold a concert on November 4 in support of the cause, with all proceeds going to Give an Hour. In a statement, Wilson said:
“My wife, Melinda, and I are very excited to be a part of this important campaign, not only to bring awareness to the mental health issues faced by millions of Americans, but also to encourage everyone to learn the Five Signs of emotional suffering. It’s time for us to bring the conversation of mental health in America out of the shadows, and the Campaign to Change Direction is leading the way.”
Wilson and the film’s cast will be filming PSAs and holding movie screenings with supplemental discussions.
