AJOBO: K-I-S-S (Not the Band, Not the Thing)

Ah, here we are again at another Monday! This AJOBO will be rather abridged since my past three days have more-or-less revolved around the incredible British Invasion 50th Anniversary Tour. I caught it twice – once in Montclair, NJ, on Friday night, and yesterday in Westbury, NY.

(On a side note, I swear, you wear a bright yellow dress to a venue one time and forever, you’re “that girl in the bright yellow dress.” I think there might be a song in there somewhere…

Oh, yeah.)

Anyway, an extensive tour review is forthcoming, so I won’t spoil anything for you right now, except to reiterate the point REBEAT‘s been making ad nauseam that you need to see this tour! There’s only a week or so left, so don’t dawdle.

In the spirit of the great design/journalistic credo “K-I-S-S” (Keep It Simple, Stupid), I’ll leave you with the real reason you clicked this link: the week’s menu!

This Week on REBEAT!

– Along with our review/continuing coverage of the British Invasion 50th Anniversary Tour, we have a few very different reviews coming up later this week from a, shall we say, diverse menagerie of artists and events. I would say it’s not to be believed, but people will believe anything these days!

– Tomorrow is the penultimate edition of Sally O’Rourke’s Holland-Dozier-Holland column, which wraps next Tuesday. In celebration of her in-depth and fascinating look at Invictus and Hot Wax Records, she’ll present a special JUKEBOX featuring many of the great tracks she discussed throughout the series.

– A few new faces will debut pieces this week, along with the return of RAVER, the second issue of “The Adventures of Mr. Schneider,” and more!
