According to NME, a sequel to 1979’s film Quadrophenia is currently in the works and is set to begin filming this coming summer.
Quadrophenia, which is based on the Who’s album of the same name, focuses on the life of a mod named Jimmy in London and features music from the band. The sequel, titled To Be Someone, will pick up where the original left off and continue Jimmy’s story.

- In honor of the Traveling Wilburys’ album reissue campaign, two behind-the-scenes videos have been released through Ultimate Classic Rock. The videos include footage from the making of the “Devil’s Been Busy” and “Wilbury Twist” music videos. - The Rolling Stones are reportedly heading back to the studio after recording two new songs with Eric Clapton, according to the U.K.’s Sun tabloid. Official album plans have not been released.
- On July 7, the Royal Mail in the U.K. will honor Pink Floyd by releasing commemorative postage stamps. July 7 will be the 10th anniversary of founding member Syd Barrett’s death.
- Jeff Beck’s new book, BECK 01, is now available for pre-order. As of now, the book is limited to 1,650 copies.
