10 Things I Learned From the #askPaul Q&A

Paul McCartney hosted a live Twitter Q&A yesterday — his first in over a year — and excited fans tweeted thousands of questions using the hashtag #askPaul, ranging from the serious to the absolutely ridiculous.

Macca was online for nearly an hour tweeting his replies. We got to learn a little more about him, including some of his favorite things (HBO’s Veep, dogs, and pecan pie), the hardest bass line he’s currently playing in concert (“For the Benefit of Mr. Kite”), and his favorite songs of the moment (Foofighters’ “Something from Nothing” and Sia’s “Chandelier”). But then he started tackling the odd questions, and that’s when the real fun started. It made me giddy with delight to see just how fun, weird, and absolutely cheeky he can be. Even the most devoted fan learned something unexpected today. So, here are 10 crazy and fantastic things I learned about Paul McCartney from the #askPaul Q&A:

1) He doesn’t have any tattoos…anywhere.

2) No one is safe from autocorrect. And he’s twerked.

3) Even Paul has places he’s never visited.

4) When Paul gives you a nickname, wear it with pride!

5) He likes Halloween. And dressing up.

6) The guy still knows how to have a good time.

7) The walrus was Paul.

8) He’ll always be the cute Beatle.

9) Rejection hurts!

10) He’s still blown away by fan devotion.

Paul answered a few more questions that will come out over the next few days, so keep an eye on #askPaul. You never know what you might learn! (And follow REBEAT on Twitter, wouldya??)
